PERSONALITY: So, here's the thing about Erica Reyes. A lot of people, upon first glance of her before her (self-described) transformation, assumed she was meek. Mild. Weak. She was anxious. She got bullied. Her peers considered her a freak because of her epileptic seizures, which even with medication, Erica had no control over. Erica even points out that people were 'destroying' her.

And then along came tall, dark, handsome and dangerous. He was dressed in leather and denim, and he cornered her, told her he could make it not only go away but make it better, and Erica jumped at the chance. You see, Erica was never mild, or meek or weak or fragile. Underneath that exterior of anxious shyness, Erica was a smoldering pit of anger and vengeance for her peers. Erica wanted power but her disease wouldn't let her claim it, no matter how hard she'd try.

She took to the bite like a duck to water, and that's when her personality really began to shine.

You see, Erica was always kind of sassy and sarcastic. She's not kidding when she tells Allison she's wondered what it's like to steal someone's boyfriend. Erica's middle and high school years have been nothing but her watching the 'beautiful people' and resenting them and their attitude for her. She's spent the last five years of her adolescent life slowly building a grudge and knowing that she can't do anything about it. So now, she has no problem destroying people like they've destroyed her. She's got no problem flirting with someone's significant other, no issue with taking what she wants with pretty manicured nails. Everyone else gets to do it, so why the hell can't she? She's got the body and the boobs to back it up, after all.

And she's not against using her ample assets to get her way. Erica is in charge of everything now, especially her body, a body that had betrayed her for so long. So now she shows it off. Push up bras, low cut tops, tight corsets and jeans, and heels. Erica will never not wear heels, now that she doesn't have to worry about seizing and breaking her neck. She'll pout and flirt into getting her way, and if that doesn't work, she'll resort to violence (see also: braining Stiles with a very important piece of his beloved Jeep). The boobs tend to work, though. Her body is her weapon to use as she will, and she doesn't care if you think she's some kind of skank or slut for showing it off and being mad that people won't admit she has a beautiful everything. You're probably just jealous. After all, she's one of you pretty people now, an ugly duckling turned into a gorgeous swan. She's one of you, but she doesn't want to hang out with you. After all, you're the people who filmed her and watched her piss herself while she was having a seizure. No, she'll just steal your boyfriend and make you miserable. Because she can.

Years of being a social pariah have done their toll on her. She is quick to anger, and even quicker to have severe moral judgement lapses if it means being noticed or needed. She's all for killing her classmate because Derek told her to, she's perfectly fine with taunting Allison about her boyfriend, and when put in the fight or flight scenario, Erica fights and she fights dirty, whether with words or her werewolf abilities. She is a tank, and she will come at you head on, claws out, fangs out, howling. She likes it, the feeling a fight gives her, the rush of power that flows through her veins, and she is more than alright with attacking someone on command; it's just the excuse she needs. She's not stupid by any means, but her tendency to jump in, guns blazing, makes her easy to out manipulate or distract, and her general inexperience makes it easy to take her out in a fight.

She's not immune to the typical teenaged arrogance. In fact, it could be argued that Erica's arrogance was multiplied twenty fold when she got the bite; her confidence from having power has become confidence that she's sixteen and she knows everything. She's much more likely to listen to Derek than her parents, and she considers Derek (as of her canon point pull) to be the one adult she can really trust and listen to. After all, he's the one who gave her what she had now. He's old enough to be an adult but young enough to be someone she can relate to as someone of her peer group. When she's in trouble, it's Derek she wants to see and help her, not her parents, not her doctors.

This is probably a result of distant parents. Epilepsy is a difficult thing to deal with, especially if you have a child who won't take her meds, and while Erica's parents are probably loving, they're also incredibly busy with their jobs. They're as hands off as they can be without being neglectful, though they give Erica everything she could possibly want. She respects her parents, but as a sixteen year old it's unlikely you could get her to admit that she maybe loves them. To her, they don't give a shit, and she's hurt by it, but she'll tell you she's fine with it and moved on with her life. She grew up knowing that pretty people get what they want.

What Erica wants is to be accepted. A lot of her youth was spent alone at her house, while her parents worked. When she was first diagnosed with her epilepsy, her parents would have to turn down invitations to go out, and Erica's pretty sure there's some resentment there. So her parents don't accept her and her peers don't accept her, and she's lonely and mad. Mad at her body for betraying her, mad that she has to take pills to be normal and mad at her parents for not being there for her when she needs them (or so she feels). Her hobbies growing up (and even now since she's still growing up, even if she doesn't think so) were thus ones she could do on her own. Comic books and video games, mostly, and Erica still thinks to this day that she's glad she's not photosensitive when it comes to her seizures because if she couldn't head shot scrubs in Halo multiplayer to get rid of her aggression, she'd probably just simply die.

ABILITIES: Erica is a werewolf, and with that comes a whole slew of kick ass. She has heightened senses, heightened reflexes/agility, and heightened strength, all of which are well above the average human's. Erica can also heal most injuries quickly, excluding those inflicted on her by an Alpha werewolf. Due to her heightened senses, Erica can tell when someone is lying, as though she's a walking, talking lie detector. It won't work if someone is adept at lying, or they believe they're telling the truth—and Erica's not very skilled with this little bit of ability anyway. Upon receiving the bite, Erica's seizures have stopped as well, likely as a result of her accelerated healing; her brain no longer misfires. Lastly, but not leastly, Erica can absorb the physical pain of others, drawing it into her body.

However, as a werewolf, Erica is 'allergic' to Wolf's Bane and Mountain Ash, and her baser instincts will always defer to her Alpha when enforces his authority on her. She's also got an RPG style weakness to electricity now, and her healing factor won't help her if she literally loses her head or suffers some other kind of fatal blow that severs her spine. Erica also can still suffer from seizures if her healing factor cannot start in time after one is triggered. This happens rather rarely, however.

As a newly made werewolf, Erica is also incredibly weak to the pull of the full moon, and as a result, she cannot yet control her change during this time.

It wouldn't be the first time Erica's blacked out after a seizure. It was, however, the first time she'd blacked out and not woken up at a hospital, and absolutely the first time she's woken up on a train. Her first thought was that she was still at Derek's shitty train station hideout, but it didn't smell right, didn't sound right. There was no sign of Derek or Scott or Stiles, and Erica lay still for a moment, seated upright in her train seat, pretending to still be unconscious. She had to be careful, right? Because hunters and giant walking lizard monsters that were actually your asshole classmate, and Derek had warned her of these dangers, briefly. She'd let her guard down in the library. She wouldn't do it this time.

The piercing whistle that came seconds later made her sit straight up, though, letting out a loud cry of pain as her hands slammed up over her ears. Definitely not Derek's abandoned train hideout, and Erica lept to her feet, glancing around. There's a moment where she panics, briefly, because she doesn't know where she is, and doesn't know if she's been kidnapped or possibly worse (whatever that could be), but it passes as quickly as it comes, because she's Erica Fucking Reyes. She doesn't have to be scared anymore. She's not weak. She's not some stupid little damsel in distress, anymore. She can rescue herself.

Erica stalked out of the train and into the station, and stops one more time, because it was starting to hit her that... this was not Beacon Hills. This wasn't anywhere in Beacon Hills, she was pretty positive, and that terrified little feeling in the pit of her gut started crawling it's way back in. She doesn't ignore it, this time, can't bring herself to, because holy shit, she really had been kidnapped and had no way of knowing where she was or even how to get home. Her steps to the area outside the station were slow, careful.

A thought crawled into her brain, then, and Erica snorted, curling her lip up in disgust, because really? What kind of idiot kidnaps a werewolf and puts them on a shitty LA soundstage?
